Young People’s Advisory Process

The Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth (the Advocate's Office) is seeking new young people who will help develop a formal Advisory Process for the Office.

The Advisory Process will be a structure to provide young people the opportunity to  give advice to the Office on its operation and activities, and help shape the manner in which other young people will give advice to the Office moving forward.

CultureLink's Engaging and Empowering - How to Become an Effective Mentor for Vulnerable Youth online training is back and now open for enrollment! 

Designed for people interested in mentoring vulnerable youth, this 9-module course will walk you through the 3-E mentorship stages - Establishing, Engaging, and Empowering - to help you build a fruitful mentoring relationship with your mentee(s).  The course will explore the issues facing vulnerable youth and equip you with effective mentoring tools to help youth  overcome barriers and build resilience.

Ontario Black Youth Action Plan Community Co-Design Session: Peel on August 14, 2017

The Ministry of Children and Youth Services is hosting Community Co-Design Sessions to provide information on filling out applications for programs and initiatives under the Ontario Black Youth Action Plan. These sessions will also be an opportunity for organizations with similar ideas to form partnerships – a key component of the Ontario Black Youth Action Plan Collective Impact and Cultural Identity (CI2) Approach.
