Youth Assisting Youth– The Youth Mentoring People, (YAY) is a non-profit charitable organization servicing GTA & York Region that provides a peer mentoring service to improve life prospects for at risk and newcomer children. YAY matches children, on a 1:1 basis, with trained and dedicated Youth Volunteers who act as positive role models. Since 1976 YAY has helped more than 20,000 young people. Problems for a child at risk may include emotional, behavioural or social and relate to life skills, self-esteem, peer relations and/or family dynamics.

Administrative Assistant Reports to: Director of Youth Settlement Services Details: $15.00/hour at 35 hours a week For Youth Initiative (FYI) is a by-youth-for-youth, charitable organization, that works primarily in the former City of York and West end of Toronto. FYI has recently acquired funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to implement an Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program (ISAP). The program will aim to provide settlement and engagement services for newcomer youth who may be facing settlement, adjustment, mental health, and housing issues.
