The Ontario Women’s Health Network (OWHN) is seeking applications for the position of Communications Officer/Administrative Support. This is an exciting, flexible part-time opportunity. This position will support the promotion of women’s health issues and resources in Ontario and knowledge translation around OWHN projects using a variety of online tools. Additionally, the position will entail some administrative supports for the OWHN team.

The position is from May to December 2017 (with possibility of renewal), 14 hours/2 days per week

Attached is the flyer for the Youth Week Event – West District that is taking place on Tuesday, May 9 from 4pm to 9pm at Centennial Recreation Centre West (2694 Eglinton Avenue West).  There will be various activities and events for youth including two basketball skills clinics, three-point competition, socacize, music, light food and more (please see the attached flyer).  This is a free event.

the Last Mish Mash

My name is Jenny Katz, and 11 years ago, I sent out the first email of what eventually became the MishMash.  It started as a random collection of job postings, program announcements, and requests from, and for workers in the youth-serving sector, outside of our organizations and workplace hierarchies.  It grew into a resource for learning and sharing the stories, struggles, insights, and activities of frontline workers in Toronto and beyond. It was a vital organ for the group that became FPYN.

On May 10th in the Metro Hall Rotunda, the Council of Educators of Toronto (CET) will be hosting its Post-Secondary IS Possible - Alternative Choices Marketplace.

The CET is a unique 15 member network comprised of representatives from the City's English and French-language colleges, universities, school boards and the United Way Toronto & York Region. Our vision is to make post-secondary education more accessible for those who face challenges in their life.
