In recognition of the 25th anniversary since the United Nations signing of the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20th, the Office of the Provincial Advocate is launching an annual listening tour to hear from children and youth on how Ontario is living up to its commitments under the treaty.

We know that we have more work to do to support and protect Ontario’s children and youth.

Metrolinx is pleased to invite you to attend our 2014 series of Accessibility Public Meetings across the region to gather input for our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.

Metrolinx relies on the input we receive through a variety of channels from community members, partners, and stakeholders to help us improve the accessibility of our services. These meetings serve as an additional forum for feedback and discussion, and our objective is to interact with attendees as much as possible.

Let's Make it Work - Retail Stream Intake

The Corbrook Let's Make it Work project for vulnerable youth with disabilities is well underway with the first intake for janitorial training and placements being confirmed. Our next intake for retail training and placement opportunities is fast approaching and we would like to invite referrals.

About the Program:
Over a period of 12 months, 18 participants (aged 16-22) will learn, discuss, and work together once a month to develop sport and physical activity programs across diverse communities in Toronto. Participants will receive FREE training from a variety of experts and professionals regarding sport, physical activity, and inclusion, and will also contribute to a session in our annual Sport for Diversity conference. Food will be provided at all sessions and participants will also receive TTC tokens for travel. Upon completion of the project, participants will be granted an honorarium of $150. This program is FREE and we encourage all interested individuals to apply!
