Seeking youth to be summer school monitors. We are seeking over 90 monitors for July. Application closes on Friday, April 7th.

To apply, students must:

•  Be 16 years old or older and younger than 18 by July 1, 2017

•  Be currently registered in a TDSB school or program

•  Enjoy working with children

•  Have interests/talents in leadership, literacy, and numeracy or sports and recreation

 

Employment is Monday to Friday (8 a.m.-2 p.m.) July 4 to July 28, 2017, and pay is $11.40 per hour.

Parkour Camp

Parkour Camp (PKC) is an opportunity for young adults, aged 18-29, to learn or develop the fundamentals of parkour while pushing their comfort zone, exploring their mental and physical limitations. This year's camp will be open to all genders and free of cost!

The activities will run from May 7 to June 26, 2017. PKC will be divided in two parts:

6 weekly sessions every Sunday at 3pm, starting on May 14.

A week intensive running from June 19 to 25 at 10am-3pm, in the city, and the weekend in nature.

Connect & Explore - April 13th Youth Networking Event

On Thursday, April 13th, culturelink will be hosting Connect & Explore -  Youth Networking Event at City Hall. 

This is a great opportunity for youth (16-29) to connect with mentors, explore careers in healthcare, marketing and communications, non-profit/social services and financial services and build their professional networks.

Free 8-week culinary skills training program

Frontlines is offering a free 8-week, culinary skills training program for youth ages 18-29. The program involves hands-on experience in the kitchen, baking, cooking, menu planning, and budgeting. Upon completion, students receive Safe Food Handler’s certificate, Smart Serve, etc.

Subsidized Summer Music Camps

Once again this summer the Jane-Finch site of Regent Park School of Music will be hosting 3 weeks of day camp for children 6-12 years old.

Each week of camp has a different theme and the cost for this program is $20 per child per week. The camp will be run in the beautiful music facilities at York University. Registration is currently available online on a first come first served basis.
