Introducing Physical Literacy

Date(s):
Tue, 11/15/2016 - 17:00 to 19:00

The Sweat Stain Collective will use physical literacy to discuss the social realities of youth in Scarborough. The workshop focus on exploring the idea of consent specific to street harassment through physical literacy (e.g. situational awareness and non-verbal/verbal communication). Participants get to participate in a few beginner sport drills as well as playing a game basketball to explore these topics. By applying skills used when being physically active to real-life situations, the goal of this workshop is to highlight to students what physical literacy is.
