"Katelynn's Principle" has far-reaching potential for transformational change

"Katelynn's Principle" would place children at the centre of the child welfare and youth justice system

The jury at Katelynn Sampson's inquest has delivered their verdict and made 173 recommendations that potentially strengthen the way in which we offer protection to all children in this province.

The Office of the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth will strive to ensure that parties who have recommendations before them consider them carefully.

Last year we stumbled upon a statistic from Stats Canada saying that Toronto is the second "unhappiest" city in Canada and this bothered us alot. About a week later, we read a statistic that Toronto is the BEST CITY IN THE WORLD to live in!

We agree with the second statistic but we are trying to make sense of how the stats work together.
