The Community Justice Program provides adults who have been charged with a minor criminal offence an alternative to the normal court process while still being held accountable for the offence. This position is based in Newmarket.

Responsibilities

·        Work co-operatively with Crown Attorneys, Duty Council, court officers, interpreters

·        Provide individual assessments for clients to determine appropriate community-based sanctions, and assist them with their specific needs, ie: community placements, crisis intervention, housing, etc.
